Work comes in two kinds. A task is fully in your control: ship the integration, build the pricing sheet, prepare the data room. A goal depends on the world as well: a hospital signing a pilot, an investor closing a round, a clinician choosing to log in. Most tools put both in one list with one set of statuses. So when a quarter is missed, nobody can tell whether the plan failed or was never run.
This report sets out, in full, the system A|P runs on every week and sets up for its clients: the idea behind it, the two trackers and their vocabularies, the arithmetic, the links between them and the weekly review. It is written so a leadership team can build it, either in its own product or by configuring a tool it already pays for.

What’s in the report
- Control. Why work divides into tasks and goals by who controls the outcome, not by size or importance.
- Verdicts. The five ways a goal can close, and what each one tells you to do next.
- The goals tracker. A baseline, a target and a weight for every goal, and the two calculations that show where it stands and where it will land.
- Confidence. Tracking where a live goal is heading, not how much of it is “done”.
- The tasks tracker. Nine statuses that make an owner say why something isn’t moving, and two dates: one that never moves and one that can.
- Procedures. Why goals are moved by repeatable work, and how tasks show you which procedures to write.
- Build it. The full data model on one page, six capabilities a tool must have, a build order, a roll-out plan and two suggested page templates.
It closes with a twelve-point audit you can run against the tool your team uses today.
